Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Productions and the Program
Q: How many places do you have on the program?
A: We have space for 6-9 students each year, and you could be one of them!
Q: What are some of the highlights going to be in the next year?
A: We’re currently planning a new studio! If you want to be part of seeing a new studio being put together from the ground up, then this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Q: What on-the-road productions do you have planned?
A: Still to be announced for 2017/2018.
Q: Do you have any examples of MM work?
A: Sure. Pretty much all the videos in our on-demand library that have been produced by LifeStyleTV in the past 10+ years have had MM involvement. The LifeStyleCLIPs were produced almost exclusively by MMs.
Practical Stuff
Q: What’s a typical day/week like for an MM?
A: Breakfast at 07:00, worship at 08:30, projects from 9:00-13:00 (studio recordings, editing, or otherwise), 13:00 lunch, 14:00-18:00 projects. 18:00 supper and free time (if there are no productions needed), 22:00 sleep. MMs take turns to make breakfast, lunch and supper. Wednesdays we have prayer meeting, 18:00-19:00. Fridays there are vespers at staff homes, usually 18:00-21:00. Sabbaths we go to church, and Sundays are usually free (if there are no productions or outreach). There are also some housekeeping chores to do on a Sunday.
Q: What should I bring?
A: Once your application has been approved, we’ll be in touch about the details of what to bring.
Application
Q: Is the visa application fee covered by LifeStyleTV?
A: No.
Q: How many other people will be in the Media Missionary program this year?
A: Usually we have 6-9 MMs, but we’ll have a better idea by end the summer. Once your application has been approved, we will keep you updated with how things are developing.
